Tajikistan
In August of 1996 I went to Tajikistan with a
medical team organized by ORA (Orphans Refugees and Aid.) There were 25 people on the team.
Team members included doctors, nurses and other health care providers
as well as a few non-health care professionals like myself. I
am an electronics engineer and spent the whole two weeks working
in a maternity hospital repairing broken equipment. It was a great
